Chemours Account Manager - Fluoroproducts - Canada in Mississauga, Ontario

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Effectively manage Sales to existing channel partners (distributors, direct customers) across the territory in order to maximize revenue/contribution/cash in support of the sales plan for the area. Accounts will include offerings in our Fluorochemical and Fluoropolymer Solutions (FPS) businesses.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers at all levels and in key functions, i.e. R&D, manufacturing, marketing, purchasing and management with the objective of understanding and supporting customer’s decision processes.

  • Create and implement account plans for major customers in line with the business and regional objectives.

  • Gather and share market intelligence on overall trends in both Fluorochemicals and FPS.

  • Advance awareness and promotion of Chemours new Low GWP solution (Opteon™ portfolio) throughout the Foam Expansion Agent segment and its respective value chains by:

o Identifying and making high level contact with value chain key stakeholders (including OEMs, End-Users & Distributors) in the Opteon™ portfolio range.

o Thorough understanding of the industry and how the major OEMs, end-users et other key industry players are structured, developing knowledge of industry trends and needs and evaluates new opportunities for Opteon™ products to provide solutions which support these trends and needs.

o Working with end-users, contractors and Chemours’s channel partners to set up testing, trials and plans for conversion to HFO technologies.

  • Developing case histories and technical bulletins from field activities to support the marketing program.

  • Work with national Foam Expansion Agent industry bodies to monitor the regulatory environment in the territories.

o Geographic territory: Canada, some travel in the USA.

o Travel: up to 75% of time.

In order to be qualified for this role, you //must possess// the following:

  • University or College level or higher educational background preferably in engineering or chemical engineering/technologist (minimum 3-year program).

  • Min. 5 years sales & business development experience in similar industry, with understanding of how to develop and present robust value propositions.

  • Well-developed selling and interpersonal skills in building strong relationships with both customers and internal supporting organizations (Sales, Marketing, Technical, Customer Service, etc…).

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Results oriented.

  • Good team player.

  • Fluent in English required; Bilingual (French) preferred.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, required knowledge of Salesforce.com a bonus.

  • Compliance with safety guidelines, practices, business ethics and internal control processes.

  • Travel: up to 75% of time.

  • Location: based in Mississauga, ON head office with travel across Canada and occasionally in the United States of America.

  • Level: Level 7-8 depending on relevant experience.
