Chemours is seeking a NA Business Development Leader to join our Americas Marketing and Business Development team! This position will report directly to the A mericas Marketing Manager, TSS at our Wilmington, DE location.

This position will lead business development activities for the Commercial Refrigeration market segment in the NA region working in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Technical Service and Product Management teams. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, customer-focused problem solver with strong business acumen and a natural curiosity for discovering unmet needs and opportunities within the refrigeration industry.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead business development activities: Oversee and drive business development initiatives, particularly in Commercial Refrigeration. Responsible for defining and executing stationary aftermarket strategy for North America region, including key messaging and product promotion, in alignment with segment’s growth strategy.

  • Lead a cross-functional team: Work closely with marketing, sales, technical service, and product management teams to achieve business objectives. Responsible for collecting and sharing market insights and voice-of-customer to broader team, including TSS business leadership.

  • Customer-focused problem solving: Address customer needs and challenges with innovative solutions. Build relationships with end-users (food retailers) and establish partnerships across the value chain, including industry associations. Responsible for identifying and participating in tradeshows, customer/partner engagements.

  • Data-driven decision making: Interpret and analyze data to establish market size and business opportunity to guide research and prioritize activities within the business. Responsible for maintaining market model data, competitive landscape and work with sales on bottom-up plan and identify opportunities to close gaps. Responsible for identifying gaps in product portfolio to meet the unmet needs of the industry.

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), Materials Science etc.

  • Minimum of 10 years serving in a commercial role

  • Experience working in food retail, convenience, or the cold storage industry

  • Experience in leading business development activities or related initiatives

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers or partners (internal/external)

  • Experience in interpreting and analyzing data to guide strategy

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Willingness to travel at minimum 25% of the time

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to engage with many stakeholders, including senior management

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Experience in commercial refrigeration industry with existing relationships in place

  • Technical understanding of refrigeration technology as it relates to air conditioning and commercial refrigeration

  • MBA

Pay Range (in local currency):

$120,064.00 - $187,600.00
