Chemours is seeking an Asset Manager to join our growing Chemours titanium dioxide team! This position will report directly to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager at our New Johnsonville, TN location.

The Asset Manager will lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical engineers to support Maintenance & Reliability activities. The Asset Manager owns the physical condition of key site assets and utilizes the team for executing against Asset Care best practices. An appropriate amount of time will need to be spent in the field to understand the physical assets. This individual will maintain a site equipment retirement listing & a long-term facility maintenance plan. Collaboration with a cross-functional team of Operations, Maintenance and Technology resources will be essential to understand specific considerations and overall site needs. A key activity will be determining the prioritization of replacement of EOL assets with respect to available capital funding.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of multi-disciplined engineers, mechanical integrity inspectors, and SAP resource.

  • Manage the sites Mechanical Integrity/Quality Assurance Program and lead site-level reliability initiatives for improved production uptime and maintenance cost reduction.

  • Develops and maintains listing of equipment retirement dates, and ensures requests are generated for repair/replacement of assets.

  • Engages equipment SME’s (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) to ensure listing of equipment retirements is comprehensive and includes all asset classes necessary to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the facility.

  • Owns and coordinates the site infrastructure assessment process, assigning follow-up to appropriate personnel (Maintenance Coordinators, Engineering, etc.) for follow-up action planning.

  • Provide leadership, support, & guidance for engineering decisions to maintenance and operations including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment/instrumentation failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades.

  • Support team that is knowledgeable in area specific equipment to become subject matter experts for the review and preparation of maintenance work procedures and skills development/training.

  • Initiate management of change documents to improve the safety, quality, environmental impact or cost of the production area.

  • Provide leadership for engineers/ technical specialists that participate in PHA’s and assist in scope development for capital projects.

  • Support area root cause failure analysis teams, kaizen events, and problem-solving sessions.

  • Prepare and audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules and equipment specifications.

  • Oversee the review of preventive maintenance plans to assure optimum process and frequency of performance.

  • Oversee the evaluation of vendor proposals and designs and exercise effective judgment around functionality, cost, and timing.

  • Network with other Asset Managers at our sister sites to support improvement initiatives company-wide with reliability focus.

The following is required for this role:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Engineering or Technical Field

  • 2+ years of experience leading & managing engineering or technical team (10+ people)

  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software.

  • Strong organizational, experimental, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to lead and work in diverse cross-functional teams

  • Ability to manage work and undertake multiple tasks simultaneously including managing both long-term programs/projects and short-term operational issues

  • Legal right to work in the US without restriction (must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

  • Knowledge of CMMS, such as SAP

  • Understanding of PSM systems, High Hazard Processes & Mechanical Integrity Programs.

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Familiarity with RAGEGAPs including ASME Code, and API Standards, NEC, NFPA, ISA, etc. & knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD)

  • API certifications such as 570 or 510.

Pay Range (in local currency):

$105,280.00 - $164,500.00

26

Annual Bonus Target:

11%
