The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Human Resources Generalist position available in Parkersburg, WV. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Human Resources function. This position will report to the HRBP.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide strategic partnership with the organization to support overall operational discipline and business performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply general, site and corporate HR policies, principles, practices and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of labor and employment law (e.g. FMLA, ADA, Title V11, NLRA, etc.) to ensure administrative matters are handled effectively and efficiently.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, and to form and continuously improve team processes. Thorough knowledge of and practical experience with group processes and group facilitation, including diagnosis, assessment, intervention, conflict resolution, creative thinking and follow through capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and ability to facilitate change through influence. Ability to utilize data to support decisions and drive improvement while providing an integrated view of all facets of HR work (e.g. organization design, position management, competency training, selection processes, award & recognition, performance management and daily work processes and lateral network processes).

  • Direct the implementation of standardized and administratively leveraged HR practices and programs across the plant for a specific HR competency such as workforce planning, absence management, performance management, work environment, etc. and maximize employee and manager self-service by providing the appropriate training, metric development and monitoring for continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance the needs of the business and needs of employees. A functioning business partner with a working knowledge of the vision, goals and objectives of the business. Equally, provides a role of an employee champion with the ability to listen, provide candid feedback to leaders and recommendations for improvement.

In order to be qualified for this role, you /must possess/ the following:

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience in an industrial and union environment. Knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices as well as labor and employment law is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence strategic change in an organization while championing values and behaviors.

  • Proven track record of delivering results with outstanding communications skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals within all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

The following skill sets are /preferred/ by the business unit:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.

  • PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification.

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.

  • Experience in providing HR support to multiple sites.

  • Demonstrated ability to advance employee engagement.

  • Working knowledge/experience in developing a fair and respectful work environment.
