The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Director Enterprise Project Management position available in Wilmington, DE. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Engineering function. This position will report to the Chief Procurement Officer.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accountable for execution strategy and performance of the major special projects.

  • Defines and acquires the resources necessary to execute the major special capital portfolio for execution by the central engineering organization. Works with the Business Engineering Manager to staff the project with the best resources available.

  • Engages with engineering technology leaders to address engineering and design standards needs and technology resources

  • Aligns with Business Project Sponsors on best way to meet business objectives.

  • Tracks project KPI’s to ensure business objectives are met relative to project execution

  • Ensures alignment with Business Engineering Manager on capex spendout planning

  • Provides input to the Chemours Project Systems based on project learnings and critiques

  • Ensures effective communications among the steering team, engineering leaders, contractor leaders and project managers

  • Manage and develop their line organization

In order to be qualified for this role, you /must possess/ the following:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline

  • Minimum 10 years leading/managing capital projects

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a chemical plant environment

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field construction or contract management

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct report supervisory experience

  • Broad experience working with engineering/design contractors

  • Ability to travel 50% or more (domestic & international)

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to lead by influence

  • Excellent team-building capabilities

  • Fluent use of Microsoft Office

The following skill sets are /preferred/ by the business unit:

  • Knowledge of estimating and scheduling software, i.e. Icarus and Primavera

  • Knowledge of smart engineering and design tools

  • Experience working for an engineering/design contractor

  • Experience in a plant operations, maintenance or business role
