Chemours Territory Manager in Wilmington, Delaware

/The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Territory Manager - STAM Western Region position available and will report to the National Sales Manager. This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the sales function and is home-based. The candidate must live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon or Nevada./

  • The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:*

  • Building and maintaining relationships with Chemours authorized distributors and manufacturing reps. within the assigned geographic territory

  • Understanding the competitive environment within the territory and to identify potential targets for strategic growth

  • Works with distributor sales teams and manages manufacturing reps. to promote Chemours refrigerants down the value chain to contractors and equipment owners

  • Responsible for attaining pre-established territory objectives for net revenue and profitability

  • Responsible for providing regular feedback on competitive pricing in the marketplace and for planning and attending regional trade shows and industry events

  • Interfaces with marketing, regional product management, technical service, R&D and senior leadership as needed to accomplish account objectives and to relay market intelligence.

  • Provide customer support at the point of sale including making presentations and conducting on-site product training to/for distributors and contractors

  • Organize and participate in trade shows and other industry meetings/events

  • Managing travel and entertainment expenses within assigned budget

  • Engages in collection activities as necessary to support the Credit Department

In order to be qualified for this role, you /must possess/ the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Minimum of 3 years selling experience for or on behalf of the HVACR industry.

  • Knowledge of U. S. refrigerant marketplace a strong plus

  • Candidate must live in one of the following states (AZ, CA, CO, OR, or NV)

  • Must be willing to travel 50-70% of the time within sales region (AZ, CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, UT, MT, NM, CO, WY).

  • Demonstrated written and oral skills – ability to present information and ideas in an articulate and organized way

  • Ability to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organization while creating/maintaining a respectful work environment

  • Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills to independently complete tasks and to also work well in a team environment

  • Good interpersonal relationship skills

  • Strong negotiations skills

  • Ability to think strategically
